Money Market Operations
The department monitors daily inflow-outflow of funds through current account with RBI and manage liquidity function of the Bank. Funds required are raised through TREPS/ CROMS surplus if any are invested in SDF/Inter Bank deposits/Commercial Paper/NCD to earn income.
Servicing GAHs
The Bank has 335 GILT Accounts out of which 106 accounts are Web based as on March 2025. Gilt Securities held on behalf of these constituents is INR 70724.23 cr. as on 31st March 2025. Currently we have started providing CROMS facility to our constituents.
Dealing in Government Securities & Foreign Currencies
In line with maintaining adequate SLR, department trades in Government Securities, on NDS OM Platform for exploring profit making opportunities. Total investment portfolio stood to INR 13871.21 Cr. as on March 2025 of which INR 6623.06 cr. invested in government Securities.
A Forex desk deal in major foreign currencies to support merchant business, to provide a competitive exchange rate in derivative products by performing cover operations/SWAP/Forward contract booking & in turn takes benefit of price fluctuations in the currencies to earn profit.
