Shikhar Training

Shikhar Training & Research Institute is established on 16.02.2009. The Training institute is working as state level Agriculture and Co-operative Staff Training Institute (ACSTI) under SOFTCOB Scheme of Financial Assistance for Training of Co-op Banks. Shikhar Training & Research Institute popularly Known as STRI accredited by C-PEC, BIRD Lucknow. Shikhar is also notified as Authorised State Level Training Institute in Co-operatives of Maharashtra vide Govt. Gazette Dated 12.09.2014. Shikhar is a part & parcel of The Maharashtra State Co-op Bank Ltd. Mumbai. In recent accreditation done by C-PEC, NABARD, STRI has achieved 826 Marks out of 1000 Marks and received Grade “A” Shikhar its having two channels one at Vashi, Navi Mumbai & another at Nagpur.

Objective

STRI is organizing, conducting and evaluating training programmes for the personnel working in the co-operative sector in the state of Maharashtra. The main objective of the STRI is organizing need based training programmes and facilitates the process of human resource development in co-operative sector.

Activities of STRI

Training is important for organizational development and success. STRI is conducting training programmes, Induction, Workshops, seminars, conferences for Co-operative banking sector such as MSC Bank, DCC Banks, Urban Banks, PACS, Salary earner sty, Co-operative housing sty. etc. Emerging areas, new technology, training is given to emulate up with those changes. The employees are trained to adopt new work methods. The Shikhar institute has profound privilege to have certified Training Institute in Co-operatives, of the country by the “Center for Professional Excellence in Co-operatives” by the Bankers Institute of Rural Development (BIRD), Lucknow.

Training Methodology

Training at Shikhar is delivered by using different methods such as lectures, PPT presentations, playway methods, Group Discussions, Case Studies, Assignments, Presentations, Practical Exercise on computers, Field visits etc.

Till the point of training methodology all information is correct. The changes are given below:

2024-25

In the financial year 2024-25, Shikhar has conducted C-PEC approved 72 training programmes through which 1502 participants were trained. Shikhar has conducted total 49 Non C-PEC training programmes for Co-operative Credit Stys, Salary earner stys. Hsg. Stys. etc. through which 3042 participants were trained. Training is conducted for 3951 trainee days during the year.

STRI is notified as authorised training institute in Co-op Sector vide Govt. Gazette dated-12.09.2014

STRI Scored 826, securing Grade- "A". Re-Accreditation taken by C-PEC, NABARD in January 2023.

All faculties are CTFC qualified.

STRI (ACSTI) successfully organized 86 C-PEC approved training programmes and 43 Non C-PEC programmes for other institutes in the year 2023-24.

STRI achieved 5646 trainee days during the year 2023-24.

Special 3 workshops on Risk Management for MSC Bank Officers, CEO’s of DCCB’s were conducted.

2 Induction Programme was conducted for Newly Recruited Staff.

Special 9 Workshops on Cyber Security Awareness were organised by STRI promoted by Savitribai Phule Pune university.

As a part of Faculty Development, faculty members are send to attend different training programmes at ISTM- New Delhi, NCTC, BIRD Lucknow, BIRD Mangalore.

NAFSCOB has awarded STRI as best performing training institute for the year 2021-22.
